Flowcaliente: Isaac y Dani |
With the development of Spanglish, it was only a matter of time before a duo like Isaac and Dani came along.
Name: Isaac y Dani Location: Elgin, Illinois Website: Myspace.com/Isaacydani English Reggaeton. It’s a phrase that catches people off guard but it really should not be a surprise to many. You have two languages, English and Spanish. You have two rhythms, hip hop and Reggaeton. Using basic math, we figure out there are 4 basic combinations available. English and Spanish hip hop and Spanish and English Reggaeton. While the first three combinations have been selected by many to use, it seems that English Reggaeton has yet to take off. In comes the young duo of Isaac and Dani. Isaac Levario and Daniel Camacho met in the local high school in the town of Elgin, Illinois. The two had a passion for music and began recording as a hobby. It wasn’t long before they appeared on various mixtapes and started creating a buzz. Unlike most Reggaeton duos, Isaac y Dani come with a style that has never been heard before. By combining hip hop, Reggaeton and Spanglish in their projects, it is a fitting to be the self declared reyes de dos mundos. While most artists have shied away from being pioneers of their music genre, we are starting to see a trend of more daring artists. Hip hop has seen Kanye West create a new genre of music and Lil Wayne is on the verge of releasing a rock album. Rumors are circulating that Daddy Yankee will have an all English album out soon. So the next time you hear a Spanglish track on MTV, don’t be surprised to find out it is from Isaac and Dani.
